The present point is that although he spoke often of participating in Christ’s suffering and death (Gal. 2:20; 6:17), the passage before us is striking in that he places suffering and death after resurrection. In terms of the Christian calendar, Paul put Easter before Good Friday, or to be more precise, in verses 10–11 he speaks of Easter, Good Friday, and Easter.
